The German Society of Pennsylvania, founded in 1764, is dedicated to preserving and promoting German language and culture in Philadelphia and beyond. It serves as a community hub offering cultural programming such as concerts, film screenings, lectures, and social events. The Society also supports German language education through classes and scholarships and houses the historic Joseph P. Horner Memorial Library.
Additionally, the Society plays a vital role in fostering German-American heritage through its historic building, diverse events, and cultural initiatives. It welcomes members and the public to engage with German traditions and history.
