Today, more than 125 years after the city of Manning was founded, the German influence can still be felt by simply driving down the unique cobblestone-lined Main Street and looking at the beautiful Bavarian themed accents on the town’s store fronts. Festivals, such as Kinderfest and Weihnachtsfest are just two more examples of how the Manning Heritage Foundation works to celebrate and preserve the area’s German cultural heritage and traditions.”
