A group of Pennsylvania Dutch moved to Kentucky in the late 1700s, and started schools in the mid-1800s. Germantown School sold their original property and purchased the current site, erecting a new building in 1879. The building underwent various renovations and additions over the years. It still stands today, although the school is no longer in operation. (Northern Kentucky Views)
