The German-American Citizens League of Greater Cincinnati (GACL) serves as the umbrella organization of more than forty German societies, and was founded in 1895. It sponsors several events, including the annual German Day Celebration on the first weekend in June and the St. Nikolaus Fest in December. It also organizes a lecture series in October for the German-American Heritage Month at the German Heritage Museum, which serves as the headquarters of the GACL. The museum is open Sundays from the spring through the fall from 1 to 4 PM, and by appointment.
