The Over-the-Rhine quarter in downtown Cincinnati is the largest historical neighborhood in North America. It was settled in the early 1800‘s and experienced boom in the mid-to-late 1800‘s at it became the brewing capital of the United States and was home to opera halls, German-language churches and schools and many kinds of institutions. Today Over-the-Rhine is teeming with activity both during the day, in the evenings, and on the weekends.
